Acceptance of terms
By using TabTap AAC ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you are using the app on behalf of a child, "you" refers to the parent, guardian, caregiver, or professional supervising that use. If you do not agree with these terms, please don't use the app.
What TabTap AAC is
TabTap AAC is a free augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) tool that lets a user tap picture symbols to build and speak sentences, in Bisaya (Cebuano) and English. It runs in a web browser and does not require an account.
Not a medical device or professional advice
TabTap AAC is a communication support tool. It is not a medical device, and it does not diagnose, treat, or provide therapy for any speech, language, developmental, or medical condition. It is not a substitute for guidance from a licensed speech-language pathologist, physician, or other qualified professional.
Acceptable use
You agree to use TabTap AAC only for its intended purpose — supporting communication — and agree not to:
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with the app or the systems that host it
- Copy, resell, or redistribute the app's code, word data, or icon artwork as your own product
- Use the app in any way that violates applicable law
Ownership
The TabTap AAC name, design, word lists, and icon set are the property of their creators. You're welcome to use the app freely for personal, educational, and therapeutic purposes.
No warranty
TabTap AAC is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TabTap AAC and its creators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the app.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
